That's a good question Brendan.

I think the clear lenses would blend with the headlights, making for a more
continuous, wrapped look around the front corners.  Consequently, I think it
would make the nose look a little wider, and flatter.  The 80/90 series
prior to 93 look a little narrow and tall from the nose in my estimation.
Is it worth $100+ for the sake of aesthetics...that I don't know.  I'm
beginning to think that the money would be better spend getting a set of
projection driving lights to compensate for the pathetic high beams.  That
raises a whole different aesthetics problem though - where the h#ll do you
put driving lights on the nose of a 80/90?!?!  Ah, the dilemmas.
