I don't want to drag this into a thread to end all threads, but my 88
5ksq, US spec had the old model dash- and all turbos in 88 had the
turbo dash which had 
the trip computer.

My car had the metal rear badges, rings in the middle of the rear
deck, lock moved beside the license plate and "Team doorhandle"
doorhandles.

When the wide dash, flush door handles (and I think rear disks on all
cars, and 4 lug quattro on 100q) the car was rebadged as the 100-200
for the 89 model year.
