tires/inflation pressure

Thanks for your comments on the dunlops, etc. I guess
20K isn't so bad, afterall.

Curious about tire presure; the sticker on the fuel
door says 36psi all around. With the old tires,
Dunlop 8000's, this was fine. Now that I have the
Michelin Pilot XGT's on, 36 psi seems very high. The
car has a sort of darty feel to it-like the steering
response is much quicker. I guess this can be
attributed to the harder compound of the all-season
tires, but what do you'all think? Is 36 psi too much?
There is also a noticeble difference in rolling
resistance; seems to be a lot less than before.

Also, an aside, I replaced my the tires on my wife's
Grand Cherokee; from wranglers, 245/70/15 to the new
high-buck Pirelli Scorpions, 255/65/15. Man, what a
difference. Body lean has been reduced and the ride
is much smoother. Highly recommended if you, like
most, use your SUV on the road more than off of it.

thanks,
Twain
