$300 for a factory original exhaust for a 4KQ sounds too good to be true. 
What do they mean by "original audi"?
What material?  Stainless?   (I think the original is stainless.)
Does it have Audi part numbers stamped on it? 
Who makes the "aftermarket" exhaust?  Borla?  ANSA?
I don't think aluminized will last as long as the original.  
 I've heard folks speak of buying 4KQ aftermarket exhaust systems for
prices in the neighborhood of $300 and having to replace them again in a
couple of years.
