    No rumour, Gary. I fitted water injection to my '67 Rover 2000TC back in
the '80s when hi-test gas vanished and was replaced by the lead-free druck.
Within a very short time the spark plugs and combustion chambers (located in
the piston tops - a unique design!)  were spotless - I couldn't see the
valves, but I assume they cleaned up as well.
