RE: Can't get crank pulley off...

I had that problem Wallace, but it wasn't anywhere near as troublesome
as getting the damn bolt off. I won't go into it, but I don't think
the bolt was required to keep things in place ;-) At this point in
the "dismantling procedure" I went and got my trusty 5 lb. BFH and a
block of wood, stepped up to the plate, gave it a home run swing (hmm,
maybe a "single" swing...er...oops...wrong group). We had a "drizzle"
that day, and I was not a happy camper. Sometimes getting physical
works wonders...on cars. I had the bumper and grille off the car at
the time. Vibration/harmonic damper became aware of what I was
about! Left the BFH leaning up against the fender as a reminder. All
I replaced was the belt and the o-ring for the pump. Everything is
hunky dorey after a year...ooops...wrong group. If anything
malfunctions on my car now, I'm going to blame you all!

For a little rant, this _has_ to be an afterthought for the silly
"engineers" employed by Audi. Hey boys, let's make it complicated.
They don't know the difference.

Nice car to drive tho'.
