Excellent theory, Phil. The thing that worries me is, how the hell did the
puddle get there in the first place? Also, it wasn't all that violent a
maneuver, the whole family was in the car and I tend to "turn it down a
notch" when there are potential witnesses who know where I live and can nag
me about it later.

You had a little puddle somewhere on the engine and the violent
manoeuvre flung it onto the downpipe?
