RE: quattro-digest V4 #3544

You want to trade?
I get 13-14MPG in the city and 24-26MPG on the Highway (of course I have a
K24 and 2Bar boost).
If you want to improve your MPG, use 87 octane, should give you 1-1.5MPG
more (maybe).

Subject: 88 5ksq 5-speed standard fuel consumption?
Hi,
What should be the fuel consumption for an 1988 5ksq with a standard
5-speed transmission. I may get 22-24 MPG on a highway and 18 MPG in a
city (super (93) gasoline). Is such a high fuel consumption normal for
this car?
Thanks

My '87 5kcstq with 185k miles gets 24-26 mpg in a mix of town and country
local roads driving and 30 when I can get onto an expressway and drive a
steady 75-80 mph. Almost the same mileages I get with the two '86 4kcsq's
