I always do.....75-80 mph, 1984 5000S with a 3 speed auto...last tank, 399.8
to the *beep*before that 414, before that 397....
A whole lot better since I had the warm up regulater replaced!
It's quite difficult to get accurate mileage "at home"....heck, you don't
even know how much gas you're buying! "Pumps corrected to 15C" (up
here)...so unless it's that temp, you aren't getting what the pump
says....so you don't know how much gas you have....and you have to rely on
the odo to give an accuate reading.....
So, if you really don't know how much gas you've used....and the mileage
might not be totally accurate....well, there's not a lot left of the mileage
calculations.
And you hear people say they just got blahblah "point" blahblah miles to the
gallon...or a 1 mpg change....oh please....I only worry when it _changes_
enough to notice.
You really need a lab to do it with any accuracy, IMHO.
