Another Audi Obituary :-(

An 18 year old with a 88 hyundai excell, new to her by less 
than 24 hours ran an interesection and our faithfull 89 100 Avant
gave it's life to protect my family.  :-( :-( :-(

Huge bummer.

Fortunately my wife and 3 year old daughter are ok, my wife is
sore and Kristen seems to have no injuries.  She was strapped in to
her car seat in the middle of the back seat.  Karen was wearing her 
seat belt.

But I think the car is totaled.  I had already talked to Chris at
Autobahn about parts, and was feeling pretty good about just replacing
hood, bumper, passenger fender, grill, headlight assembly.... your basic
bolt on stuff....

then I took a good look at it in the garage last night.

The whole front end is tweaked to the passenger side probably half an
inch or so.  Big gap betwen the fender and driver door, almost no gap
and some rubbing on the passenger side :-(  The panel the fender attaches 
to is bent, front piece that connect the fenders in the front is also bent...

If it's a total I'll be looking for a 93-95 100csqw or A6qw in mint
condition, no paint work for $20k or less around new england in the near 
future.
