How to get rid of spilled gas smell?

I was filling my car yesterday, and the automatic shut off on the pump 
failed to work. I ended up with a spill on the car, AND on my pants! Luckily
I had other pants in the car, and was able to change in the rest room. I
tried washing the pants in the sink with some dish detergent, but they still
reek. Anyone have a better solution?

PS -  I'm going for an interview at the local Audi dealer tomorrow - wish me
luck! I'll be sure to tell them about the list, and all the potential
clients on it!  ;-}
