Silly: compatible fuel rail...
Hi!
I'm waiting for people to send me price quotes for some of
the tools for doing wheel bearings, and I'm reading up on
what people suggest for this. In the mean, inbetween bursts
of work effort, the Audi part of my brain has become
active in the silly department again.
Basically, this question is aimed at Graydon and anyone else
who has messed with the fuel system on the CIS on the MC
10-valve turbos. Some have replaced the CIS with EFI.
I know Graydon has made his own fuel rail, probably cost a
fortune. :) So I'm just wondering what car out there could
possibly have a compatible fuel rail that would fit on the
odd inlet manifold of the MC? The S4? Don't suppose the
20-valve's fuel rail would graft into the CIS injector
positions given a bit of mounting work, would it?
Who else makes a 5-banger? Anyone Volvo rails? Didn't
Toyota make a fiver? How about finding a 6-banger with
similar piston and head dimensions and hacking off the
#6 injector section?
Silly, I know, but humour me. :)
Reason: every now and again I go check out the EFI332
website to see what is happening and things are looking
good there and it is always good to know where to find parts
if one ever decided to do a project on this nature. :)
Ciao.
G.
