Hard to comment on without knowing the asking price.  Did you mention it was 
$1500, or is that in my head from surfing?

Can't determine the cause of the window problem, really.  Could be the 
regulator, which is a reasonable easy fix, but requires some mods to the 
replacement, as they are a different style.
