Urq - out of breath

Help Please, whilst happily travelling along today, my Urq developed a
health
problem.

It started with a misfire under load, but at tickover ran as smooth as
ever.

After a further 20 miles & descending a very steep hill, I was
rewarded with
a lot of popping& banging & the misfire became permanent.

Other symptoms are, total lack of boost, huge wind sucking sound when
I back off to change gear.

Possible continuos hissing sound from front nearside bulk head (could
be
my imagination).

With bonnet lifted on tickover, sucking sound appears to come from the
region of the waste gate controller, Could it be the Diaphragm ?.

Any Ideas Anyone ?.
