another one bites the dust, maybe

Hello all,

A friend of mine who runs the SportsCar Clinic in Blacksburg, VA just got
t-boned yesterday (other person was clearly at fault). He was driving the
finist example of an 85 4kq I've seen. The car had 92k and was emaculate,
garage kept.....perfect. I tried to buy it from him a couple of times but he
would just grin and say, I don't think so. Well, he's now dealing with the
other guys insurance company and wanting to prove that it's worth more than
the $3500 they're going to want to total it for.
The car may be fixable, but the frame is pretty wanked and I'm sure they
will total the car.

Just having gone through this process back in October, I know that the most
he's going to find on AutoWeb or Kelly is 2900 to 3400. How can he "prove"
or show that the car is worth 4500 to 5000?

TIA,
