RE: blind zone stuff, any input?
I tried the mirror setup as well. First impression, you see a lot more
movement in the side mirrors now. Cars going the other direction make for a
lot of busy motion in the drivers side mirror. I think I'll get used to it
though. As for looking back for parking, I just lean my head toward the
window, then I can see the side of my car again. Your head is easier to
reposition than the mirror :) Creatures of habit. Girlfriend doesn't like
it - when sitting in the passenger seat, SHE's getting blinded by the
headlights behind us now instead of me - oops :) I made a run on the
highway - it make take some fine tuning to get the overlap between rearview
and sideview mirrors to match at the right distances, but I think it's a
worthwhile idea.

Subject: Re: blind zone stuff, any input?
I've set my sideviews up to catch the area the rearview
doesn't. Now when I look at the sideviews I'm at a complete
loss as to where I'm looking. I have to make a quick
glance at what the rearview is covering and then head back
to the sideviews. I used to have the sideviews looking at
my car's sides, but I kept having to look back all the time
to get the blind spot checked. Not fun with the B-pillar
there.
I think using that setup will take some time to get used
to, but I have noticed that I pick up cars in the blind spot
that I just miss in the rearview. :)
