A4 Brake problem help.

Thanks to all for the help.Now I know why I stay on the Q  list !!The
C-clamp trick worked as it always has for front pistons.I would like to
know why you have to turn the rears first since that didn't really do
anything. Is it a function of the e-brake or what? Thanks again. Steve
