Re: Any Car Cover Experts?

I have a cover made of Tyvek. It is a material from Dupont that is water
proof and UV resistant. It is a white material that feels like a
combination of mylar and cellulose fiber. I live near the ocean so we have a
lot of humidity and dew forms in great amounts both on the cover and beneath
the cover. Of course, this leaves water spots on my black car. The cover
leaves it own signature when it is wet from the dew. A milky white substance
is then left all over my car. This may be just because it is new but I
haven't used it much since I started noticing the white stuff. Just a
reminder, if you have a cover your car needs to be clean before you put it on.
