Quasi-Audi meeting in Minneapolis

Our little get together at Bennigans was a great time.

Jim Hidding's S6 was a blast to ride in. All I can say is, WOW. Jim gave
rides to a couple of us. It's truly amazing what a chip and exhaust
manifold can do for the 20vTurbo engine. Jim figures right around 320hp.
It's interesting to note that the new Pontiac Trans Am is called a
muscle car, and yet only produces 300 odd horsepower from a 5.7 liter
V8, and yet Jim is up there with a 2.2liter 5 cyclinder engine. The
especially nice part for me, at 6 foot 3 inches tall, is that I have
enough head room without having to lean the seat back. I guess I know
what Audi I'll be looking to purchase in a couple of years.

Couple of CQs made it, including Paul and Darrin. Darrin was missing one
of the headlight washer jets. I seem to recall someone stating that the
last generation of Passat had a similar headlight washer system and the
jets from the Passat system were a direct drop in. Can anyone confirm or
deny this?

Darrin's CQ has a nice raspy sound to the exhaust, sounded especially
nice on a quick blast down the road. Sorry Darrin, but Jim's S6 moved a
LOT faster down the street than your CQ, maybe you should drop in an S6
engine.

These occasionaly "get togethers" are fun, maybe we should start a
little Twin Cities group that gets together on a more regular basis.
Just a thought.

My car: '93 90S, 12vV6 (sadly lacking hp compared to an S6)
