I also felt more than welcome on this group when I first
joined. I understood it was to do with Audis and not
specifically quattro driven units. Also, most of the work
done here is probably to do with the engine half of things.

I think it is just an unfortunate name, since this is (as
far as I can tell) a Audi enthusiast group. To me that
means all aspects: drive, electrics, motor, brakes, lighting,
paintwork (:)), etc, etc. Maybe someone should start a
list for the quattro drivetrain and leave this one alone to
cover all aspects of all Audi cars? Then on the quattro
drivetrain list you can talk about diffs and driveshafts and
leave the engine and the rest out of it. :)

I think it's great to see all the discussions about
quattro and FWD and motors and fixes and mods, it's
interesting even if I don't have a 4WD car (or is that
AWD?).

How many front-wheelers here? How many quattro driven?

And that's my 2 cents ... before taxes.
