First this is NOT meant to be a flame or I don't like you or "how dare you
post that" or anything like that.  I recognize that fact that most of us
(including me) have more than one Automotive passion.  Regardless, my other
passion is Porsche but unfortunately I know zip about 928s.  I would highly
recommend you or your friend try out the 928 list at www.porschelist.org.
The lists over there are great.  I'm sure they know way more about 928s than
you would ever want to know.  I know from the 911 list, the Optima battery
is the most highly recommended, but as for the model differences you were
asking about, again I know zip about 928s.
