Hi Huw,
It is an aftermarket cup holder that comes in diff colors, including audi
grey.
I can't find the manufacture's name anywhere on the product but will hunt
down the
install sheet when I get home. At first I was not crazy about the location
but It works so well
even for the largest soda.

what is this, where did you get it, etc?  Looks like a single bay
version of the VW passat unit...
