Sorry this method didn't work for you. Sometimes I have had to raise the
front/ lower the rear of the engine to get a better swing. The impact doesn't
nesessarily have to be hard, but it does need to be accurate and sharp. You
have to raise the pressure of the grease VERY quickly to get it to force the
bearing out, rather than mearly oozing out around your dowel. The dowel must
be a fairly close fit for the same reason. There is a bit of a trick to this,
but I think if you get one to come out you will FEEL it and it won't be that
hard to do in the future. Best of luck.
