Yup.

I also leave the rear flap open, either open both rear doors or at
least both windows, and park in an especially windy part of the
yard.

I also drink copious amounts of 'Scrumpy Jack' - cheap and powerful
cider that seems to counteract petrol fumes.  Well - I think it does,
but by the time I've drunk enough to see an effect, I no longer care.

Seriously - the people I know who muck about with gas tanks for a living
now drive the car out into the wilds and point the tail into the wind.
Then they sit in the back with their feet in the spare wheel well and
all the doors open.  Over here, latex gloves cost 8c a pair.  Benzene is
one _NASTY_ chemical.  No one I know now does these jobs in a workshop.

If you've got the chemical exposure precautions right, there is ZERO
explosion risk.
