Re: 120mph??? Yes. Yes.
So will Finnish drivers (in Germany), 260km/h indicated Köln-Aachen in the
dark with light rain. No problem except for some nighttime truck traffic
randomly passing each other. It'd been a long day, left the ferry in
Stockholm in the morning, wanted to go sleep and rest up for the Belgian GP
practice session the next day. Wouldn't want to spectate tired...
Speeds like that are not a stability or braking capability problem with a
bespoilered 911, but the random jokes of losing control at such speeds
aren't real funny. The car will and has cruised for extended periods in the
240km/h+ range, but I'd recommend earplugs (I always have some handy).
My old 240hp A4 and the new S4 are just as quick, but they do exhibit a bit
more lift at speed (not preferred). Otherwise they are much more
preferrable for long high-speed trips. The 911 is much more at its element
and loves the Alps, as I'm sure my Urq will once I introduce them to her.
