As wonderful as this car sounds it is a tricky process at best to get it US
legal
I spoke with a neighbor of mine who recently emigrated here from Toronto. He
had to bring his Chrysler minivan in. Because the car was mfg in North America
it wasn't too much of a problem. However he had to get a letter from Chrysler
stating that the car met US standards. He advised me that a colleague of his
had a very difficult time trying to import his Saab from Canada as it was not
mfg in North America.
His opinion was that at the very least you would have to get a letter from
Audi stating that car meets US regs. Being an attorney he advised caution and
to not buy the car until you got that letter.
Incidentally when my neighbor traded in his Chrysler a few years later the
car's resale value was significantly diminished because it was a canadian car
(KPH speedo ilo MPH).
Good Luck!
