Re: Stabilant 22(A)
In my experience (admittedly limited to this far flung outpost
of the what was once the British Empire), wholesalers will
usually only stock the concentrate (Stabilant 22). I paid
about US$85 for 15 ml of concentrate. I then had our
chem. dept. (I work at a university) dilute it in the
ration 1:4 with ethanol (4 parts) to obtain 75 ml. of
Stabilant 22A - at US$17 for 15ml. I'd let anyone have
a bottle (I have five 15ml bottles) for US$20 plus postage,
but sending it to Canada doesn't seem a realistic idea.
Haven't used it yet - tomorrow or the day after - so I
dont know if you apply it and let it dry before reconnecting,
or just apply it and reconnect immediately.
Anyone know about this aspect?
