Sorry, you're correct.  I actually bought the tool you speak of from my
local favorite parts place - Autosport Imports (206)878-5230, Seattle, WA.
I think it was called an Audi slotted nut tool or something like that.  It
seems to me I paid less than 10 USD but it may have been around 15 USD.
Some things I just can't economically fabricate.
