That is the impression I get as well. Often you can tell more about a systems
reliability from what you don't here. Seems to be no design flaws with
Northstar. Sometimes (accidently) you just get these things REALLY right.
Even the usual horror stories have not damaged these engines. "I didn't think
I needed to CHANGE the oil." Seem to be very deep breathers as well, even for
a four valve head. They should be serious contenders. IMHO.
