Re: Fuel injector recall - V6

Did they say there's no recall at all, or just for your car? If they
said there's no recall at all, call again and talk to someone else...if
the person you talked to gave you their name (as they should have) then
mention that to whoever you talk to.

Basically there are some 1992-1995 V6's with injectors that are leaking
gas onto the engine. What it sounds like is Audi is trying to narrow
down exactly which cars have this problem, but there will definitely be
some people with 6 free injectors sometime soon.

As of now, the recall has been announced, but not acted upon because
they still don't know which cars need the new injectors. The person I
talked to collected my name and VIN and told me I'd get a phone call if
any new news came up.  I guess "There is no recall" is halfway true;
they haven't notified anyone yet, and they're not giving out free
injectors yet, so the recall really hasn't technically started. I guess
just hold your breath (especially helpful if there are gas fumes in the
car :)
