Break-in new brake rotors and pads plus some da#$ dashlights

Need some BTDT on breaking in front rotors and pads.  Put them in yesterday
in the 100S wagon. Now there is no pulse but a little mush.  I tried
searching in the archives for a break-in procedure but couldn't find one.
Anybody got the procedure? I will probably bleed them Sunday but the wife
needed the car today.

Also anybody got the correct P# for the dash lights to backlight the speedo
and tach?  I have received two different types all of them incorrect from
two different "Audi parts specialists" (Yeah right!)
