Re: A/C recirculation/warm air from dash ponderings...

oh boy, haven't had something to argue about in days...

really. i love it, was prepared to hate it but find it works remarkably well.
my friend insists on putting it on manual all the time, but he comes from the old
Audi-GM climate school.
then again, i am pretty sure it's really about control issues with you people ;-)

have you tried pulling OBD codes on the CC panel to see if it's sending a reasonable

value?
I find, as automatic systems go, it's really easy and self explanatory to get what
you want when you go to manual. on other (particularly Amuricun) contemporaries, the

CC is made only for set-it-and-forget-it, and trying to get warm air on your hands,
for instance, is an exercise in futility.

OK OK so this is f-ed up. ghost in the machine. i hate it too.

this is because the A/C will freeze up, just limitations of science...
i _like_ the fact that if it's just above 37F and it starts turning on the stupid
AC, i can turn it off, and it remembers the fact that i hate AC parasitic power loss

even after restarting.

love this car for the quiet sunroof compared to my last few. not as good as some,
but better than most.
