I believe you refer to the clutch "master" cylinder. The "slave" or actuator
is located at the other end of the hose, in or on the bellhousing. Otherwise
I agree with the diagnosis as previously called by Phil. Overstroking the
pedal can lead to broken pedal arms and even stress-cracked sheetmetal in the
mounting area of the firewall. I'd replace that sucker now.(actually I'D
rebuild it) Assuming the slave had been replaced, that is.
