Re: UFO brakes



UFO brakes use a caliper that is mounted close to the axle and the rotor
drops into it.  The advantage is that there is more swept surface area with
a 15" rim.  The disadvantage is that they tend to shimmy on light braking,
and are expensive as hell to service.  I have had them on both my 1991 200
20v's and I like 'em!!!!  If you can put up with some brake shimmy, you will
like them also, because when you hammer them, the car slows down right away.
