V8 t-belt $$$

The only V8 belt we've done in my one year at a dealer came to I think
$1400!!!!!   But the owner said he never wanted to have to take the front
of the car apart again so do whatever is in there.

So besides the belt, which is twice the price of a V6 belt, he also got the
tensioners, also for twice the price of a V6 tensioner set, and a water
pump for, guess what.......

So a full on belt, tensioner and roller, water pump, serp belt, front oil
seal etc.  Very pricey job but it sure is more than just a belt.

So just see what parts are going into the belt job as quoted to you.   And
of course dealer labor can be more than independent shops, the parts are
more and the job is priced at book rate.  It all adds up
