Nor have dealers...the service manager at my local dealer had vague
notions of some sort of upcoming recall but didn't even know it was
about injectors, or for what cars, etc.

Prolly not...if you buy your car used you should contact AoA and let
them know about a change of ownership.

'cept most dealers (if not all) aren't really aware of what's going on
(did this change in the last week?). You can also call AoA with your
VIN to get the information.

Basically, they started off with all V6 engines made between 1992 and
1995, which comes to over 37000 engines...that's almost 200,000
injectors. I think the delay is them trying to lower that number a bit
by excluding certain batches of cars (injectors).
