As a matter of fact, my first car here in the US (actually, my
first car period) was a silver 83 Fuego. When it ran, it
was great. It was seldom great.

For the record, my car history:

83 Fuego 1.6 (non turbo): 10k miles or fewer
86 Subaru XT Turbo: bought 60k, sold 115k
86 VW Jetta GLI: bought 70k, my sister still drives it at ~200k
83 VW Jetta: bought 120k, retired at 160k due to above mentioned sister
88 Audi 90 fwd: bought 65k, sold 110k
84 4kq: bought 120k (so I thought). A $5000 self-taught class in
	auto repairs
85 4kq: bought 70k, sold ~110k to a lister
87.5 Coupe GT: bought 90k, sold 94k to brother in law
90 Coupe Quattro: bought 83k, at 115k now. Possibly for sale.
99 VW Jetta TDI: new (wife's)

Coming soon (if I sell the CQ), 92-94 S4 or 97-99 A4...
