March 97 Road and Track has a very extensive article on buying used
Ferrari 308s.  It lists the most desirable years, engines, what to
lookout for, cost of maintenance and about anything you ever wanted to
know about buying a used one.  Excellent article on the 308.  

March 94 Road and Track has the same type of article on  Mercedes Benz
350SL and 450SL and 450SLC.
