I test drove an 87 5000 CS quattro last weekend.  The clutch pedal does not
return all the way up.  It can be pulled up with your foot and the clutch
seems to work okay otherwise.  The slave cylinder was just done but not the
master. The shop that did the work could not give me a straight answer about
what is wrong.  They told the owner it probably needs to be bled, but the
shop did not recall the job and said it could be a sticking clutch or the
master cylinder or needs to be bled.

I know most of you said it is probably the master cylinder.  Is this still
the case?

If it is the Master Cylinder, where is a good place to get one and can it be
done by a competent do-it yourselfer?
