Yes, we have Aldi only half a mile north of the house.

I know foreigners (especially Americans) tend to be very impressed by
Munich - but I started my German residency in Hannover and continued
it in Frankfurt.  I only spent a couple of dozen days in Munich.

We had an office right by the Isartor - you could almost reach out and
touch it.  Work started early - about 08:00 - and continued until the
early morning break at 10:30.  This was a bottle of Hefeweizen and either
a Muenchner Weisswurst or Leberkaese.  The latter was my favourite.

For those unfamiliar with Leberkaese - it's what Spam ought to be.
