Re: Grinding Sound from Right Front - 5KCSTQ
So do I. I am still hoping that it is the wheel bearing. However, I do not
exactly get the signs of a bad wheel bearing (wailing, vibration, noise
modulation, left/ right turn changes in noise; it seems more metallic and more
constant than that) indeed might be a problem with the differential. What to
do? Leave it alone and turn-up the radio? Replace the bearing? (difficult/
easy?) Replace the differential/ transmission?
I have already lost a 84 5ks to a similar problem, making me suspect that
Audi's differentials are not exactly high quality.
