I actually buy some of my parts from a repair shop (Proshop, San
Rafael). Vott's prices are good, and he treats me fairly. His hourly
labor charges are pretty high (close to $80), however that seems to be
the norm here in Marin, and his shop is definitely top rate.
Example of some prices:
Purolator oil filter (w/ Porsche stamped on it(oooh!)) $8
Rear rotor $34
Front rotor $55, however he had to get two so he sold me the other for
$23.
Pagid pads (rear) $50 <--don't know the going rate for these are?
Prices are approximate, I don't remember the exact dollar amount.
The prices compare favorably with some of the other suppliers that we
use (Blau, GPR, TPC, etc..). While probably not the lowest, definitely
low enough for me to go back.
Just my 2cents.
