You'll be more likely to hear MB just cut their prices below Kia across the
board so the average man can now afford one.
 
As far as doing your own work, I found out long ago that you are more likely
to find a 10 lb. gold nugget in your back yard than an honest, competent, and
affordable mechanic who actually cares about your car.  Before everyone
unleashes their arrows, I KNOW they EXIST, it's just I've never actually seen
one.  Kind of like atoms.  I use them for mounting and balancing tires, wheel
alignments, and major machine work.  I investigated them, asked around,
checked their work, and STILL watched them like a hawk until I could trust
them.  I put up with SO much B.S. from some of these guys.  I absolutely HATE
being lied to, like they think you're some kind of moron.  "Honest Mr.
Soandso, the wheels were ALL broken when you drove in here."   or  "Those oil
filters are VERY hard to get, dealer only, special order, but it's your lucky
day!"  "We'll let you have it for $47.99."
