Delrin is better

I just spoke to one of our molding engineers at work, and I noticed that he had
some kind of documentation for Delrin, the material.

I asked him about it's lubricating properties, and he showed me a composition
sheet of some sorts, and it listed among the constituents, a lubricant (like
2-5%), and fiberglass.

I mentioned the problem I and others have experienced with noisy urethane
bushings, and he understood exactly why they would be noisy. He said that
Delrin would probably be a better material, and would most likely not squeak.
He said it was also stronger.

So, there it is. Someday I might get Delrin bushings. Right now, I have 12
brand new stock ones that I'm going to put in (only 8 at a time!) my 4ksq.
Once they go bad, if they do, I'll look into getting Delrin.

Later,
