Ever heard of the cake and eat it too saying. There are compromises for a
good pad. They include higher dust and higher wear than a slagmaster. The
question is what is the compromise for you. For instance my 84 beater wears
metalmasters because it will never see a track and I dont want to have to
mess with it for a while. I still have to deal with the poor cold stopping
but thats the breaks. For my 4ktq they were not even close to what I
wanted for that car. The R compound Porterfeilds might be a little dusty
for a street application but the stopping is phenomenal. Ferrado makes a
good street/light track pad that sounds like a very good compromise. There
are different compound Porterfields that are a little less aggressive.

stopping it. Koenig Cobra 16x7 with Yokohama A520's turning it, K&N and
uh..., Soon: Hella's lighting it.
84 4000sq AKA: The beater.
