4000 Thermostat gasket

	Hello Audites,

Thanks to all who responded to my question about the thermostat replacement
on my '87 4000csq.  Yesterday I finally obtained a thermostat from Pepboys.
The guy stared at his screen unbelievingly for several seconds since (but
of course!) it was the most expensive thermo. he had ever seen.  Cost me
$24.  The gasket which supposedly goes with it worries me, however, for it
looks like a trunkated edge romboid with a cutout diameter much smaller
than needed to fit anywhere on the thermo.  Besides it is made of paper.  I
imagined a rubber ring.  Am I full of it or what?  Help me, please, step in
the light on this for I am trying to get this done on Saturday, weather
allowing.
