That section of the autobahn is typically backed up. Once we thought we try to go on
the secondary roads. When we thought we went far enough we drove back on to the
autobahn and I recognized the same cars we were surrounded by just before we left. The
radio does announce how far the traffic is backed up though. But I think it's just to
make you feel more miserable.
