RE: platinum plugs
First and last comment on Bosch Plats. I ran a set of 4 in my Toyota 22R
4-banger. After <2000 miles, one of the platinum electrodes actually broke
loose and slid out of the ceramic, bridging the gap solid. Tough to get
spark when the gap is reduced to .000". I wrote it off as a fluke, but
after switching from single Platinums to W7DTCs in my Audi 90, I won't be
going back. For $3.25 mail order, there's no contest. Sometimes stock is
your best option...

It only says that those will replace whatever the original plug is.
I've used the Platinums in my old KH and tried them in my MC. They don't
work with our engines. They were great in my non turbo. I think it's not
worth gouging a cylinder with electrode and insulator bits (what would
have happened to mine if I continued their use).
