Actually, the weird thing is that the sheriff will not patrol anything south
of the bridge by the sheriff's station, on the truck route.  Several locals
know about this and use the truck route for "spirited" drives during the
tourist off-season.

Yep, I'll bring the rally car out to do some fiddling; also need to fine
tune a tarmac setup for the car, which this event is ideal for.
