Throttle Body upgrades for the 4kq.

I'm wondering who out there has done the throttle body upgrade for their
4kq.   I have an 85' with about 80k miles on it.   Just like everyone else I
want more power.   It looks like Blaufergnugen has an upgrade for about
$200.  According to their web page the upgrade is best when combined with
their 272 cam.   I just don't have $500 floating around out there to spend
on a new cam.  So my question is that is will the "new" throttle body
paired with a k&n filter increase my "seat of the pants horsepower"?
